About This Event

Join us for a fireside chat with Anusha Dandapani, Chief Data & AI at the United Nations International Computing Centre (UNICC), on how data storytelling becomes the unlock for real AI adoption across teams, organizations, and global systems. From leading AI initiatives across the UN system to building data-driven solutions in financial services, Anusha has seen firsthand: the difference between AI that gets built and AI that actually gets used. We’ll go deep on: Why storytelling is the missing layer in AI adoption Turning complex data into narratives that drive decisions Bridging technical teams, leadership, and real-world users Lessons from deploying AI across high-stakes, global environments How to communicate AI in a way that builds trust, not resistance About the Speaker: Anusha Dandapani is the Chief of Data & AI at UNICC, where she leads the UN’s AI Hub driving cross-agency collaboration, AI governance, and responsible deployment across the UN system. She works at the intersection of technology, policy, and global impact to ensure AI is both effective and equitable. Previously, she spent nearly two decades in financial services, including as a Data Science Lead at Barclays, leading AI initiatives in financial crime and compliance. She is also an adjunct professor at NYU and Fordham, and actively mentors the next generation of AI leaders. This event is part of #AIWeekNY by Pulse NYC — a community-led festival celebrating innovation across the AI ecosystem. More at https://pulse.nyc/ai-week/
